38 Weeks and Counting!
Julia, I promised you a pregnancy picture. Well, here you are. Things are starting to come to a close for us as far as pregnancy is concerned, thank heavens! Last week at my Dr.'s appointment my doctor was surprised at my progress at only 37 weeks. Of course, Ben and I got our hopes up, but to no avail. Ben even canceled his trip to a leadership conference and I canceled a trip to my parent's house just in case. I had contractions off and on all last thursday. However, now I type to you still with child. I feel bad for the poor little guy, he seems so cramped. All in good time I guess, all in good time.

Everyone needs to go here!
Over the weekend Ben and I took the kids to check out Mt. Tamalpais. It's just over the Golden Gate Bridge a ways and off of Highway 1. Hiking wasn't really on my agenda, (seeing as how I feel like my legs aren't connected to my body and anytime I walk I feel like I need a restroom), but of course I got outvoted. It was beautiful. Only pictures can describe how beautiful it was and even they don't do it justice.
P.S. The second picture down you can see where I decided to stop while Ben and the kids went on. It looks like I hiked a long way to get to even that point, but really the car was parked just a bit down the hill.

Beach Days in February!
Happy Valentines Day!
While I was growing up my mom always made holidays special for everyone, including Valentines Day. Even when I was old enough to care about not having a Valentine I still loved this holiday because I knew my mom was brewing up something special for the whole lot of us. I could always count on the dinner table being deliciously decorated with goodies and Chinese take-out, I loved it. I just have to say thanks to my mom for accenting my life with these thoughtful acts of love. I love you. This year for Valentines day I tried to follow my mom's example, fun decorations (table runners and paper globes), yummy treats (our favorite chololate cake), and Chinese take-out (yummy).

Relaxation Exercises
Poor Benny! I can always tell when school is getting a little to overwhelming for him. Yesterday he came home unexpectedly early and in desperation announced that he wanted to try to go surf for an hour. The kids and I went along to watch. A good time was had by all. I'm so glad that we live next to the Pacific so that Ben can release a little school anxiety.
Child Labor!!!!
Last week I emabarked upon a much dreaded task, making spaghetti sauce!! Why do I hate it? This task requires using my 'not so great' can opener to open a bazillion, (is that a word?)cans of various sauce additions. It's drudgery. The positive outcome is that I can just pull out delicious spaghetti sauce from the freezer whenever I need a fast meal or when I'm just feeling lazy. However, I made a delightful discovery! Elias loves opening cans!!! He seriously gets so excited. So suddenly this horrible task is quite enjoyable. Do I feel bad about using his innocent excitement? Absolutely not, he gets free room and board and at least 1 night a week of delicious spaghetti. Everyone wins!
